Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of Cosio, a video classroom and shared whiteboard service published by Estelle Couturier, a French sole proprietorship (SIRET 879 178 549 00025) — see our Legal notice for full publisher details. Creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan means you accept these terms.

1. Service

Cosio lets a room owner ("organizer") host video lessons with a shared whiteboard and invite guests. Guests never pay — only the person who creates a room is billed, according to the plan they choose.

2. Plans and pricing

Cosio offers a Free plan and two paid plans, Starter and Pro, each available billed monthly or annually. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page and are in euros, all taxes included where applicable (VAT not applicable — see Legal notice). We may change prices for future billing periods; any change will be communicated in advance and will never apply retroactively to an already-paid period.

3. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, automatically renewing each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on what you chose) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period. If a plan lapses, nothing is deleted — your boards stay readable, they just stop accepting edits.

4. Right of withdrawal

Under French and EU consumer law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal after subscribing. Because Cosio is a digital service that starts immediately once you subscribe, by starting to use a paid plan before the 14 days are over you expressly agree that this right is extinguished as soon as the service has been fully provided, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you create on your boards. We only use it to provide the service to you and the people you invite into your rooms — we do not claim any rights over it and do not sell it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Cosio for unlawful purposes, to upload content you don't have the rights to, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service. A room owner may block a guest from booking further lessons at their own discretion.

7. Liability

Cosio is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the service available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Complaints and mediation

For any complaint, contact us first at cursily@gmail.com. If we cannot resolve it together, as a consumer you are entitled to refer the dispute free of charge to the consumer mediator we are registered with: [mediator name and contact details].

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute not resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts.
